Nigerian sprinters Success Umukoro and Tima Godbless delivered standout performances at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, setting new personal bests in the women’s 60m event.

Umukoro, competing for Texas Tech, ran 7.13 seconds in the semifinals—the second-fastest time in the NCAA this season. She followed up with another strong run in the final, clocking 7.17s to take the title.

Tima Godbless, representing LSU, also impressed with a 7.14s finish in the semifinals, later adjusted to 7.16s for altitude.

The time made her the third-fastest NCAA sprinter this year. The time also placed her ninth on LSU’s all-time list, tying with former collegiate star Kimberlyn Duncan.

With these performances, Umukoro and Godbless continue to establish themselves among the top collegiate sprinters in the U.S.
