‎Sheffield United have finalised their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025–2026 Championship season, with Nigerian-born attackers Christian Nwachukwu and Ehije Ukaki both kept at Bramall Lane.

‎The club has chosen stability in attack despite both players spending significant time away on loan last season.

‎Christian Nwachukwu arrived from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv in February 2025 but was immediately loaned out to Turkish second-tier club Serikspor for the second half of the campaign.

During that spell, he made 11 league appearances, scoring once and recording one assist, while waiting for his official debut for the club.

‎Ehije Ukaki also spent the 2025–2026 season gaining experience abroad after joining Greek Super League outfit Atromitos on loan during the January transfer window. Before that move, he made one senior appearance against Birmingham City in the carabao cup on August 2025.

Before his loan move, he was named in four competitive matchday squads, showing steady recognition from the coaching staff. His temporary switch to Greece was aimed at strengthening his adaptability and match readiness at a higher competitive level.

‎Sheffield United’s retention of their Nigerian-born talents highlights a clear focus on youth development and long-term squad depth. With Nwachukwu and Ukaki gaining valuable experience abroad, the Blades enter the next season with strengthened options and growing competition within the squad.
