Paul Onuachu has officially won the Turkish Super Lig golden boot with 22 goals after the league concluded with the final round of matches on Sunday.
The Super Eagles striker finished level with Basaksehir forward Eldor Shomurodov, who scored a penalty against Gaziantep to also reach 22 goals.
It marks the second consecutive season that a Nigerian player has won the Super Lig golden boot. In the 2024/25 season, Victor Osimhen scored 26 goals for Galatasaray to clinch the award.
After a disappointing campaign with Southampton where he could only record four goals in 28 matches, Paul Onuachu has enjoyed an excellent season with Trabzonspor. Across all competitions, the 31-year-old scored 24 goals and provided two assists.

It makes the 2025/26 season his second most productive campaign ever, only behind the 2020/21 season, where he recorded 35 goals and 6 assists in 41 games at Genk.
His efforts helped Trabzonspor compete for the Super Lig, although they eventually fell short. The team finished with 69 points, eight points behind leaders Galatasaray.
However, Paul Onuachu still has a chance to win a trophy this season as Trabzonspor face Konyaspor in the final of the Turkish cup on Friday.
