Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has been nominated for the 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or award while Super Falcons and Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala has also been nominated in the women’s category of the award.
The nominations were announced today by France Football, the organisers of the prestigious and most honourable football award.
The nomination of the Nigerians came off the back of their impressive performance for their club’s in the 2022/23 campaign.
Osimhen led Napoli to their first Italian domestic league title triumph in over 30 years last season, scoring 26 goals to finish as the competitions top scorer.
Oshoala was also part of the Barcelona team that won the Spanish league and the Champions League.
