England booked their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals after defeating Norway 2-1 following extra time in a dramatic quarter-final at Miami Stadium on Saturday, Boldsports report.
Jude Bellingham delivered both goals for Thomas Tuchel’s side, cancelling out Andreas Schjelderup’s first-half opener before scoring the winner early in extra time.
Bellingham entered the quarter-final in outstanding form after helping England overcome Mexico in the round of 16. The Real Madrid midfielder has now scored six goals at the tournament, underlining his importance as England continue their pursuit of a first men’s World Cup final since 1966.

Norway made the breakthrough in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup collected Martin Ødegaard’s pass and fired a dipping effort beyond Jordan Pickford.
England responded just before half-time. Anthony Gordon slipped a pass into Bellingham’s path, and the midfielder finished calmly to level the contest in first-half stoppage time.
Thomas Tuchel reshuffled his side during the interval, introducing Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze after withdrawing Declan Rice, who had been battling illness and injury, along with Noni Madueke.

Norway thought they had regained the lead after the break when Torbjørn Heggem found the net. However, VAR ruled out the goal after Erling Haaland was judged to have pushed Elliot Anderson during the build-up. David Møller Wolfe also struck the crossbar as Norway searched for another breakthrough.
England punished Norway three minutes into extra time. Morgan Rogers forced Ørjan Nyland into a save, but the goalkeeper failed to hold the ball. Bellingham reacted quickest and finished from close range to seal England’s comeback victory.
Haaland, who had scored seven goals earlier in the tournament, struggled to influence the contest and was substituted during extra time as Norway’s impressive World Cup run came to an end.
The result sends England into their third men’s World Cup semi-final since winning the tournament in 1966.
