Hoop Dreams Nigeria, a leading basketball development organization, has issued a public notice alerting Nigerians to the activities of individuals or groups impersonating its identity.
According to the statement released by the organisation, Hoop Dreams Nigeria is the only legally registered entity bearing that name in the country, having been officially recognized by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) since 2016.
“We caution the public against engaging with or supporting these impersonators,” the statement reads. “The said group is advised to desist from using our name and instead represent themselves under their properly registered identity to avoid legal action.”
The organisation emphasized its commitment to basketball development in Nigeria and reaffirmed its resolve to protect its brand and reputation from misuse.
