Chiamaka Nnadozie donated football boots and gloves to young female players at the academy where her football journey began, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community that helped shape her career.
The heartwarming gesture was revealed through videos and photos shared on Nnadozie’s Instagram Story on Tuesday, showing the Nigeria international presenting the equipment to excited young footballers.
The 25-year-old explained that the donation was made possible through the support of her friends and teammates, who contributed boots after embracing her vision of supporting the next generation of female footballers.
“A big thank you to all my friends and teammates who gave me their boots to help give back to the academy I started from,” Nnadozie wrote.

Widely regarded as one of the finest products of Nigeria’s women’s football, Nnadozie has enjoyed a remarkable rise since beginning her professional career with Rivers Angels in 2016. She helped the Port Harcourt-based club win the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title in 2019 before securing a move to French side Paris FC the following year.
During her five-year spell in France, the goalkeeper established herself as one of Europe’s top shot-stoppers, capping her time at Paris FC by helping the club win the Coupe de France Féminine. In 2025, she completed a move to Women’s Super League (WSL) side Brighton, where she has quickly continued her impressive form.
Nnadozie’s individual achievements have matched her club success. She made history by becoming the first player to win the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award three consecutive times, claiming the honour in 2023, 2024 and 2025. She was also ranked fourth in the 2025 Yashin Trophy standings.

Her latest act of generosity comes as she prepares for another major international assignment with the Super Falcons. Nnadozie is expected to play a key role as Nigeria target a successful defence of its Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco, with the tournament set to run from July 26 to August 16.
For many of the young girls who received the donated equipment, Nnadozie’s visit was more than just a gift of boots and gloves, it was a powerful reminder that the path from a local academy to the pinnacle of world football is possible with dedication, hard work and the right support.
