Moses Simon provided an assist as Paris FC defeated Monaco 3–1 at Stade Jean-Bouin on Sunday, helping his side secure an important victory in Ligue 1.
The Super Eagles winger supplied Lassine Sinayoko for Paris’ second goal in the 44th minute, giving the hosts a two-goal advantage before the interval.
Sinayoko had opened the scoring six minutes earlier, while Pablo Pagis added Paris’ third after Folarin Balogun briefly brought Monaco back into contention.
Simon started on the left of Paris’ attack and was involved as the home side repeatedly threatened Monaco’s defence during the opening period.
One of the Nigerian’s deliveries nearly produced an earlier breakthrough. His cross in the 19th minute was diverted onto the crossbar by Monaco defender Sadibou Sané, offering another warning after Pierre Lees-Melou had already struck the post.

Monaco goalkeeper Lukáš Hrádecký also denied Sinayoko from close range as Paris continued to create opportunities.
The hosts eventually made their pressure count in the 38th minute, with Sinayoko converting a delivery from Maxime Lopez to break the deadlock.
Simon then helped extend the lead just before half-time. His pass released Sinayoko, who finished to complete his double and leave Monaco facing a difficult second half.
The visitors changed their approach at the interval, introducing Balogun and Christian Mawissa as they sought a response.
Balogun subsequently reduced the deficit, meeting Vanderson’s cross to give Monaco hope of recovering a point. The forward threatened again soon afterwards, but Paris goalkeeper Kevin Trapp kept his effort out.
Simon’s involvement ended in the 73rd minute when Rudy Matondo replaced him. Paris restored their two-goal cushion a minute later, with Sinayoko turning provider for Pagis to finish.

That third goal stopped Monaco’s recovery and allowed Paris to close out a victory built on their strong first-half attacking display.
The result extended Monaco’s winless league run to four matches and moved Paris above them in the standings.
For Simon, the assist supplied a clear contribution to another productive afternoon for Paris’ attack. His delivery for Sinayoko’s second goal helped establish the advantage that ultimately carried the hosts to all three points.
