In a heartfelt farewell video released by Benfica on Thursday, the Super Falcons star reflected on her deep connection with the club and expressed gratitude for the impact it has had on her life and career.

“Benfica will always be in my heart forever,” Ucheibe said. “I always say Benfica is my love because I signed on Valentine’s Day. Benfica has helped me grow a lot to see football and life in so many ways and I’m grateful for that.”

The Nigerian admitted that leaving the club would be difficult, particularly because of the bond she has built with the supporters.

“I’m going to miss everything about Benfica. The love from the fans, their lovely voice and the winning spirit,” she added.

Looking back on her most cherished memories, Ucheibe highlighted the 2023/24 campaign as the standout season of her Benfica career. Despite falling short in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, she described the achievements of that year as unforgettable.

“I’m gonna say 2024 season because we won the quadruple. We were able to go through to the Champions League quarter-finals,” she said. “That season was tough, but we achieved so much despite losing out on the Champions League to Lyon.”

She also recalled the significance of her arrival at the club six years ago.

“Also, the first day I stepped my feet here in Benfica. It’s everything to me. Everyone I’ve worked with are amazing people. I believe I’m going to come back. Whether I go or I stay, Benfica will always be in my heart because Benfica is my love.”
