Tolu Arokodare’s Wolves have officially been relegated from the Premier League with five matches left to play.
Their long-awaited fate was confirmed on Monday night after West Ham’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace. The result moved the Hammers two points clear of the relegation zone, and 16 points clear of Wolves.
It means Wolves will play in the Championship for the first time since the 2017-18 season after recording just 17 points in 33 matches.
Tolu Arokodare joined Wolves from Genk at the start of the season, but has struggled to replicate his impressive Belgian Pro League numbers in the Premier League. This season, he has recorded three league goals and one assist in 28 matches.

The Nigerian international has also experienced some issues off the pitch. In February, he faced racist abuse after missing a penalty against Crystal Palace. More recently, he was reportedly involved in a dressing room altercation with a teammate.
It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will stay at Wolves for next season. The striker is reportedly attracting interest from other Premier League teams and Turkish Super Lig sides.
