Remo Stars Football Club will play their next home fixture against Plateau United at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on monday, February 2, 2026.
This decision follows a home ban imposed by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) due to crowd disturbances during a previous match, forcing the club to relocate their home games away from their regular ground in Ikenne.
The NPFL’s disciplinary action came after incidents of crowd trouble and security lapses that breached league regulations, making it necessary for Remo Stars to find an alternative venue that meets safety and organizational standards.

The Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, has been chosen as the club’s temporary home ground. The stadium is well known for hosting top-flight Nigerian football matches and is located in Benin City, Edo State.
The upcoming match against Plateau United is expected to be highly competitive, with both teams eager to secure valuable points in the league standings. For Remo Stars, adapting to a new home environment will be a challenge, especially with limited support from their local fans due to the distance.
However, the team will aim to use this opportunity to maintain their momentum and continue their pursuit of success in the NPFL.The club and league officials remain focused on ensuring compliance with safety regulations to promote a secure and enjoyable football experience for players and fans alike.
