Highly-rated Flying Eagles winger Suleiman Sani is set to complete a big move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The 19-year-old, who currently plays for AS Trenčín, has already reportedly arrived in Leipzig to undergo his medical, with the deal worth just over €5 million and potentially rising to €6 million including achievable add-ons. He is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term contract today, with no loan move planned at this stage.
Leipzig fended off interest from multiple clubs to secure the Nigerian winger. Reports had linked him with several Premier League and La Liga sides, but the Bundesliga outfit have won the race, bolstering their already impressive squad of young talents.

Sani Suleiman began his career with Wikki Tourists before moving to Akwa United during the mid-season transfer window of 2023–24. At just 17, he quickly made his mark, scoring 11 goals and registering five assists in 15 league appearances.
His standout performances not only helped Akwa United avoid relegation but also earned him the Rookie of the Season award at the 2024 League Bloggers Awards. Across 19 appearances for the club, Suleiman was named Man of the Match on seven occasions.
In July 2024, Suleiman signed a two-year deal with Slovak side AS Trenčín, with the option for a further year. In his first season, he featured in 25 matches across all competitions, contributing two goals and one assist. This season, he improved on his numbers, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 14 appearances.
Suleiman represented the Flying Eagles at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, appearing in all three group stage matches. He emerged as one of the team’s most exciting players, providing one assist. However, he missed the round of 16 clash against Argentina due to suspension, and Nigeria were eliminated after a 4-0 defeat to the South Americans.
