Samuel Chukwueze marked his return from injury in Fulham’s commanding 3–0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, ending weeks on the sidelines with a calf problem.
The Nigerian winger sustained the injury during the international break with the Super Eagles, causing him to miss two crucial games against Arsenal and Newcastle United, both of which Fulham failed to secure a point from.
Ryan Sessegnon opened the scoring for Marco Silva’s men in the ninth minute, before Wolves’ woes deepened when Ivorian defender Emmanuel Agbadou was shown a red card in the 32nd minute.

Harry Wilson doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute, and a Yerson Mosquera own goal in the 75th sealed a comfortable win for Fulham – their eighth victory in ten league matches. Wolves, meanwhile, remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
Chukwueze came on for Wilson in the 77th minute, while compatriots Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey both started the game. Bassey featured for the full 90 minutes, and Iwobi was substituted for Adama Traoré in the 89th minute.
Chukwueze’s return is a major boost for Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, who is working to secure Nigeria’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup amid a spate of injuries to key players.
The winger is expected to be available for selection later this month when Nigeria resumes their Africa World Cup Qualifying campaign in Morocco.
