Super Falcons head coach Justin Madugu says he is targeting a convincing victory over Benin in the second leg of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
The Falcons hold a healthy two-goal advantage heading into the return leg after defeating Benin 2-0 in the first leg played in Lome, Togo.
Madugu, who guided the team to their 10th WAFCON title in Morocco in August, expressed satisfaction with the first-leg result but believes his side can deliver a more dominant performance on home soil.

“This is a WAFCON qualifier, so our ultimate goal is to win both games and secure qualification for WAFCON 2026,” Madugu told Bold Sports.
“They’ve done half the job by winning the first leg; now, we hope to finish strong with an even better display in Abeokuta. A convincing win will not only seal our qualification but also serve as good preparation for the tournament.”

A win for Nigeria on Tuesday will confirm their qualification for next year’s WAFCON, where they will aim to defend their crown against strong contenders such as South Africa and Morocco.
