Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has expressed confidence that Ademola Lookman will soon rediscover his form and start delivering the goals and assists he’s known for.
Since returning to the squad following his fallout with the club over a failed summer move to Inter Milan, the Nigeria international has struggled to hit top gear – a dip that has also affected Atalanta’s overall performance.
Over the past three seasons, Lookman has been one of Atalanta’s most influential and consistent performers under former manager Gian Piero Gasperini, playing a key role in the club’s historic Europa League triumph. The forward famously scored a stunning hat-trick in the final against a previously unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen to secure Atalanta’s first-ever major trophy.
Speaking ahead of their Serie A clash with AC Milan on Tuesday, Juric acknowledged the challenge of facing the Rossoneri but remained optimistic about his team’s chances.

“Milan already have Allegri’s stamp on them,” Juric said per Football Italia. “They’re focused, disciplined, balanced — they know how to maximise their players’ qualities and limit their opponents.”
Juric also spoke about Lookman’s current form, insisting it’s only a matter of time before he finds his rhythm again.
“We’ve created a lot, but we haven’t turned it into goals. The team is alive. Lookman is fully involved – he’s only missing the finish,” he added.
Scoring has been a major concern for Atalanta, with strikers Nikola Krstovic and Gianluca Scamacca also struggling in front of goal. Since early October, Juric’s side have managed just two goals, despite Lookman’s return to the lineup.
