Washington Mystics forward Kiki Iriafen has been named to the Associated Press (AP) 2025 WNBA All-Rookie First Team after an impressive debut season.

Selected as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, Iriafen delivered a strong rookie campaign, averaging 13.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for the Mystics.

The AP Rookie of the Year honor went to Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers, who headlined the All-Rookie Team alongside Washington’s Sonia Citron and Iriafen, Connecticut’s Leila Lacan, Golden State’s Janelle Salaun, and Seattle’s Dominique Malonga.

Reacting to her award, Bueckers expressed gratitude while celebrating her fellow rookies:

“I am very grateful for everyone who voted and saw me fit for Rookie of the Year. Shoutout to this amazing rookie class. There were a lot of unique journeys and a whole lot of hooping—we definitely put on for the class.”

It was a remarkable debut season for Iriafen, who shattered multiple franchise records. She became the first rookie in Mystics history to earn Kia Rookie of the Month honors after averaging 13.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game in May.

She was also the fastest rookie in franchise history to reach 100+ points and 80+ rebounds (in just 8 games), and the quickest WNBA player to do so since Tina Charles in 2010.

In addition, Iriafen led all WNBA rookies with 13 games of 10+ points and 5+ rebounds, and was named a WNBA All-Star reserve on July 6, 2025.
