The 2025 Dreams Basketball Tournament is entering its decisive stage as four teams remain in contention for the title after an electrifying set of quarterfinal clashes at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium on Friday, Bold Sports reports.
The University of Ibadan booked their place in the semifinals with a hard-fought 68–64 victory over Hoops & Read, holding their nerve in a tense finale to secure the win.
They will now face Deep Bond, who also came through a tough test after edging Rising Stars 70–63. With both sides grinding out narrow wins, their meeting promises to be a battle of grit and determination when they clash on Saturday.

In the other semifinal, the Ebun Comets will lock horns with the Showtyme Hoopers in what is expected to be an entertaining encounter. The Comets were ruthless in their 74–49 dismantling of Vision Basketball Club, displaying sharp shooting and solid defensive organization.
Meanwhile, Showtyme turned on the style in their 81–61 demolition of Kwara Falcons, underlining their reputation as one of the tournament’s most dangerous offensive teams.
