Temitope Adeshina continued her dominant run in the U.S. collegiate circuit with another win in the women’s high jump at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout in Texas, clearing 1.86m to extend her unbeaten streak in 2025 to eight competitions.
The Texas Tech athlete led with Evelyn Lavielle finishing second with 1.80m and Alexis Ivy taking third after clearing 1.75m.
On the track, Olayinka Olajide ran a new personal best of 11.15s (-1.0) to win the women’s 100m at the same meet. Her time, an improvement on her previous PB set at the African Games Trials last year, was enough to beat fellow Nigerian Success Umukoro, who finished second in 11.30s.

Ruth Agadama placed fifth in 11.52s, followed by Mercy Umoibang in sixth with 11.54s, as Nigerian sprinters filled out the top half of the final.
In North Carolina, Favour Ekpekpe ran a lifetime best of 20.69s (0.6) to win his men’s 200m heat at the South Atlantic Conference Championships in Hickory. The Carson-Newman freshman, competing in his first wind-legal sub-21s race, beat teammate Amine Kasmi, who finished in 20.94s (-0.3).
Ekpekpe’s time was the fastest across all heats heading into the final.
