Riding a five-game winning streak heading into the contest, the Gators played with confidence and composure, condemning South Carolina to a seventh consecutive defeat and their 15th loss of the campaign.

Alex Condon led the charge for Florida with 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while Chinyelu contributed 15 points and a game-high 17 rebounds in a commanding display on both ends of the floor. Thomas Haugh also chipped in with 10 points to seal the win.

Meechie Johnson Jr. poured in a game-high 22 points for South Carolina, but his effort was not enough to halt his side’s slide. Elijah Strong added 10 points in the losing effort.

The Gators remain top of the Southeastern Conference standings and are now unbeaten in their last six games, improving their record to 20–6 this season.

Chinyelu has emerged as one of Florida’s standout performers this campaign, and he will be aiming to maintain his consistency as he builds momentum toward the 2026 NBA Draft.
