Joseph Arumala has completed his transfer from Ikorodu City to Egyptian Premier League club Al Ittihad. The Nigerian winger now begins a new chapter after an impressive season in the Nigeria Premier Football League, Bold Sports reports.
Arumala finished the 2025/26 NPFL campaign with 13 goals. That tally placed him among the league’s leading scorers. Godwin Obaje, Victor Mbaoma and Jonathan Mairiga finished one goal ahead with 14 each.
His final tally also made him Ikorodu City’s leading scorer. He produced his best work during a breakout campaign. The winger combined direct running with a strong scoring instinct.
Arumala was particularly influential during the closing stages of the season. He scored in Ikorodu City’s 3-1 victory over Wikki Tourists on May 5. The result added another important moment to his standout campaign.
The move to Egypt now gives the Nigerian attacker a fresh challenge. He joins Al Ittihad in Egypt’s top division.

Arumala joined Ikorodu City in August 2025. He quickly established himself as one of the club’s most dangerous attacking players.
His goals helped Ikorodu City compete strongly throughout the campaign. He also became one of the most productive Nigerian attackers in the league.
Arumala will hope to carry his scoring form into the Egyptian Premier League. Regular performances could also keep his name in the conversation around the Super Eagles.
His move represents another opportunity to test himself outside Nigeria. It also gives Al Ittihad a young Nigerian attacker with proven NPFL production.
For Ikorodu City, his departure closes an impressive chapter. For Arumala, it opens a much bigger stage.
