Chima Moneke scored 13 points and played a pivotal defensive role in Baskonia’s hard-fought 88-82 victory over Partizan Belgrade in their 2024/25 EuroLeague opener on Thursday night.
The D’Tigers power forward started for Baskonia and logged a game-high 35 minutes, contributing both offensively and defensively. Along with his 13 points, he added four rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Markus Howard led Baskonia with 17 points, while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and MVP Tadas Sedekerskis chipped in 15 points each, with Sedekerskis also grabbing six rebounds.
Despite Tyrique Jones’ game-high 22 points and Brandon Davies’ 20-point effort, Partizan Belgrade fell short.
Moneke has been a standout player for Baskonia since joining last season, shining in both the Liga ACB and EuroLeague competitions.
