Victor Osimhen featured as Galatasaray secured a 2–0 victory over Stuttgart in their UEFA Champions League clash at Rams Park on Tuesday, Bold sports reports.
The Nigerian striker started for the Turkish side, who settled the contest through Aleksey Batrakov’s quick first-half double and protected their advantage after the break.
Batrakov opened the scoring in the 12th minute before striking again three minutes later, giving the hosts an early cushion in the fourth round of league-phase matches.
Osimhen had opportunities to add to the lead. He sent a header wide from a Yunus Akgün corner in the first half, while Ramon Hendriks intervened to deflect another effort behind before the interval.
The Super Eagles forward continued to threaten after the restart. Stuttgart goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow dealt with his attempt following a corner and later held another shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Stuttgart also created chances, having struck both posts through Jamie Leweling before Galatasaray’s opening goal.
The visitors thought they had reduced the deficit through Chris Führich in the second half, but the effort was disallowed following a VAR review for an offside involving Deniz Undav.
Galatasaray maintained their two-goal advantage through five minutes of added time to collect three points.
The result took them to six points from four league-phase matches, while Stuttgart remained on seven.
