Shooting Stars saw their winless streak extended to four games after they were held to a goalless draw by Kano Pillars in their rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 3 fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Wednesday.
The Oluyole Warriors headed into the encounter hoping to return to winning ways following consecutive away defeats to Warri Wolves and Enyimba, as well as a goalless home draw against Nasarawa United. However, their poor run of form continued as they failed to score for the second consecutive home game.
Shooting Stars dominated possession for large spells in the first half but struggled to find a breakthrough, with poor finishing and a resolute Kano Pillars defence keeping the hosts at bay.
The hosts came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 16th minute when Desmond Ojietefian connected with a brilliant free-kick at the back post, but his header struck the crossbar before the visitors cleared the danger.

Shooting Stars continued to push for an opener after the restart, but Kano Pillars remained organised defensively and successfully prevented the Oluyole Warriors from finding a way through.
The visitors also grew more threatening in attack in the second half, particularly on the counter, but Shooting Stars stood firm to deny them a chance to take the lead.
In the end, both sides settled for a share of the spoils, a result that was viewed by supporters as more favourable for Kano Pillars, who maintained their unbeaten start to the season with no defeat in their opening seven games.
Meanwhile, Shooting Stars remain 13th in the NPFL standings with eight points, just one point above the relegation zone. The Ibadan-based side will return to action on Sunday when they travel to face Kun Khalifat.
