Nigerian teenage striker Abdoulaye Agbejoye has completed his move to French club Stade de Reims. The 18-year-old joins the Reims Révélations youth setup after his breakthrough season with Grassrunners FC.
Agbejoye arrives with strong numbers behind him. He scored 19 goals in 19 matches last season. He also won the Nigerian Youth League Cup Golden Boot and Player of the Tournament award.
Reims win race for Nigerian striker
The French club confirmed Agbejoye’s arrival on September 1. He will initially work with Anthony Weber’s Espoirs group. The move gives the young forward a new platform in European football.
At 1.95 metres, Agbejoye brings a powerful physical presence. His finishing also made him one of the standout young attackers in Nigeria.

His performances attracted interest from several European clubs. Nottingham Forest reportedly followed his progress closely. Crystal Palace and Brentford were also linked with the striker.
The interest grew after his impressive displays for Grassrunners FC. His 19-goal campaign helped establish him as one of Nigeria’s promising young forwards.
Agbejoye continues his development in France
The striker also represented Nigeria at U20 level. He was part of the Flying Eagles squad at the 2026 WAFU B U20 competition.
Nigeria reached the final before losing to hosts Burkina Faso. Agbejoye’s international experience added to his growing profile.
Stade de Reims believes its youth structure can help him develop further. The club also recently welcomed fellow Nigerian youngster Godwin Itotomi.
The French club described Agbejoye’s strengths in its announcement.

The club also highlighted his record with Grassrunners FC.
“Best scorer and best player of the Nigerian Youth League Cup last season with the Grassrunners FC academy, this one-meter 95-center forward will bring all his power and sense of goal to Anthony Weber’s Espoirs group. The Nigerian U20 international finished the last year with 19 goals scored in as many matches.”
Nigerian connection grows at Stade de Reims
Agbejoye will now continue his journey alongside another Nigerian prospect. Godwin Itotomi also arrived from the Nigerian academy recently.
Stade de Reims sees the youth setup as an environment for development. Agbejoye will now aim to turn his strong Nigerian record into progress in France.
The club welcomed the teenager to the City of Coronations.
