Brighton have agreed a deal to sign Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez from Championship side Millwall.
According to The Athletic football correspondent David Ornstein, the Premier League club have agreed to pay an initial £12.5 million for the 25-year-old, with the total package potentially rising to more than £15 million.
Azeez is now expected to undergo a medical at Brighton on Tuesday ahead of the proposed deadline-day move before signing a four-year contract with the option of a further year.
The transfer represents a significant move for Azeez, who joined Millwall from Reading in August 2024 for a fee believed to be around £1 million. He still has two years remaining on his current contract with the Championship club.

Azeez has been keen on a move to the Amex Stadium and reportedly prioritised Brighton ahead of other interested clubs as he seeks to realise his ambition of playing in the Premier League.
The winger enjoyed an impressive 2025-26 campaign with Millwall, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists. His performances earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
Femi Azeez’s form also led to international recognition after he committed his senior international future to Nigeria. He was subsequently called up to the Super Eagles and made an immediate impact on his debut, scoring twice against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup.
If the transfer is completed, Azeez will become the latest Nigerian to join Brighton, linking up with highly-rated winger Zadok Yohanna. The 19-year-old joined the Seagulls from Swedish club AIK earlier this summer and has already made his Premier League debut for the club.
Azeez’s proposed move to Brighton would mark the biggest transfer of his career and give the winger his first opportunity to compete in the Premier League.
