Nigeria have been drawn against Ghana in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Senegal, Bold Sports reports.
The qualifying draw was conducted at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday, with the Super Sand Eagles handed a potentially tough West African encounter.
A total of 16 teams will compete for seven places at the continental tournament, with hosts Senegal already guaranteed a spot at the finals. The competition is scheduled to take place from 7 to 15 November 2026.
Aside from the highly anticipated clash between Nigeria and Ghana, the other second-round fixtures are Burundi vs Uganda, Seychelles vs Malawi, Tanzania vs Mozambique and Ivory Coast vs Mauritania. Egypt and Morocco’s opponents are yet to be determined.

Nigeria will be looking to return to the Beach Soccer AFCON after failing to qualify for two of the last three editions. The Super Sand Eagles also withdrew from the 2022 tournament and will be determined to secure their place in Senegal this time around.
The first legs of the second-round ties are scheduled to take place between 9 and 11 October 2026, while the return legs will be played from 16 to 18 October.
Nigeria will need to overcome their West African rivals across the two legs to keep their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON alive.
