Nigeria’s preparations for the 2026 Unity Cup gathered pace on Sunday after three more invited players arrived at the Super Eagles camp in London before the semifinal meeting with Zimbabwe.
Head coach Éric Chelle is now expected to supervise training with at least 17 players available. The latest arrivals are goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defender Chibuike Nwaiwu and striker Rafiu Durosinmi.
Nigeria opened camp activities with a training session on Saturday evening. Several home-based and overseas professionals took part in the workout as the technical crew began preparations for Tuesday’s fixture against Zimbabwe.
Among the players already in camp are Terem Moffi, Philip Otele, Arthur Okonkwo and Owen Oseni.

Moffi recently returned from injury and remains one of Nigeria’s key attacking options ahead of the tournament. Otele also enjoyed a productive club campaign this season, while Okonkwo continued his steady development with regular appearances in goal.
Other players present at the first session included Junior Ayobami, Al Ameen Tijani, Michael Alata, Adeoye Aderemi, Oputa Chibueze, Igboke Obinna, Elias Ocholi, Tosin Oyedokun, Femi Azeez and Tochukwu Nnadi.
Training will continue at the Cray Valley Paper Mills ground in London as the squad gradually approaches full strength before the opening game.
Several invited stars had yet to report at the time of the update. Those still expected include Wilfred Ndidi, Yira Sor, Igoh Ogbu, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Alhassan Yusuf, Akor Adams, Emmanuel Fernandez, Moses Simon, Raphael Onyedika and Bruno Onyemaechi.
Defending champions Nigeria national football team will begin their Unity Cup title defence against Zimbabwe national football team on May 26 at the Valley in London.
