Tolu Arokodare will be in action as Wolverhampton Wanderers host Liverpool at Molineux Stadium this evening in a crucial Premier League fixture as Wolves aim to halt a tough run of form and lift their supporters.

‎Nigerian centre‑forward Tolu Arokodare has been a key talking point for Wolves this season. The 25‑year‑old joined the club from K.R.C. Genk in September 2025 on a four‑year deal after an impressive spell in Belgium where he won the Golden Boot with 21 league goals in the 2024/2025 season.

‎Arokodare has made 25 Premier League appearances for Wolves in the 2025–26 season, scoring 2 goals in the England top flight.

His first league goal came in a dramatic 2–1 defeat to Arsenal in December, where he headed home late to briefly equalise.

‎Most recently, Arokodare featured in Wolves’ 2–0 win over Aston Villa – a rare and vital victory that offered a morale boost for the club. He was introduced in the 81st minute to help preserve the lead and saw out the final stages of the game.

However, his season has also seen setbacks. In Wolves’ defeat to Crystal Palace, the Nigeria international missed a first‑half penalty – a miss that was followed by an ugly wave of online racial abuse.

The club publicly condemned the abuse and reiterated its support for the striker, emphasizing that racism has no place in football.

‎Tonight’s game presents a stern test for Wolves. Liverpool have enjoyed better fortunes this season and claimed victory the last time the sides met, winning 2–1 in December away from home.

‎Wolves, placed at the bottom of the table, know that points are vital if they are to climb clear of relegation danger. A strong performance at Molineux, driven by players like Arokodare, could energise their season.

For Arokodare himself, the fixture is an opportunity to build on recent minutes, rediscover his scoring touch and contribute meaningfully against one of English football’s top sides.

‎Kick‑off is scheduled this evening at Molineux, with Wolves hoping their home supporters can inspire an upset and give Arokodare and his team‑mates a memorable night.
