‎‎‎Warri Wolves FC have directed their head coach, Napoleon Aluma, to step aside for the second time this season.

The decision follows the club’s recent run of poor results in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The latest development came less than 24 hours after Warri Wolves suffered a 4–2 defeat to Shooting Stars on Sunday, a result that increased pressure on the team’s technical crew.‎‎

Executive Assistant on Sports to Sheriff Oborevwori, Festus Ohwojero, confirmed that the had been told to step aside, while his assistant coach has been asked to take charge pending a final decision by the club’s management.‎‎

The move is aimed at halting the team’s decline and stabilising the squad as the club struggles for consistency in the league this season.

‎‎The report also noted that Aluma had only recently returned to the dugout after previously stepping aside earlier in the campaign, making this the second time he has been relieved of his duties within the same season.‎‎

According to the Guardian, the club are looking to hire former Super Eagles player Ndubuisi Ndah as a possible replacement.
