âŚFree agent Olisa Ndah could join Stellenbosch FC
Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah has penned an emotional farewell to Orlando Pirates after five seasons with the South African giants.
Ndah joined the Buccaneers in January 2021 from Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United and quickly established himself as a key figure in the team. Over his time at the club, he made 81 appearances and was regarded as one of the sideâs standout performers whenever fit.
However, his spell in Soweto was significantly disrupted by injuries, which limited both his game time and overall impact.
As he calls time on his adventure in Soweto, Ndah has penned an emotional farewell to the team thanking the fans, management and teammates for the support during his spell at the club.

âThank you to Orlando Pirates F.C. for the opportunity to wear the jersey and represent such a historic club with pride,â Ndah wrote on Instagram.
âAs I reflect on the past few years, I am filled with immense gratitude. From my first day to my last, this club has truly been home. We shared countless memories, celebrated incredible victories, faced setbacks that made us stronger, and put in tireless work day in and day out. I will forever cherish the highs we achieved together and the lessons that shaped me along the way.
âA special thank you to Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza, the coaching staff, management, and everyone behind the scenes for your trust and unwavering support.
âTo the Buccaneers supporters, your passion and loyalty never go unnoticed. I am deeply grateful for the love and energy you bring every single day.
âAs I move on to a new chapter, a piece of my heart will always remain here. I wish the club continued success and greatness in the years ahead. Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate.â
He featured 31 times across all competitions in his debut season, missing six matches through injury and being benched on just two occasions in the Premiership. The following campaign proved more challenging, as a long-term injury restricted him to just 13 league appearances, with 17 games missed.
In his third season, Ndah returned to greater prominence, playing 19 league matches and captaining the club for the first time in the final game of the 2023/24 season, a 1â1 draw against SuperSport United.

The 2024/25 campaign was cut short after he made only two appearances, wearing the captainâs armband in both matches before suffering a tibia and fibula fracture that ruled him out for the remainder of the season. His final league outing for the Buccaneers was a 3â0 victory over Polokwane City in August 2024.
The Nigeria international has since been strongly linked with a move to Stellenbosch FC, opting to remain in the South African Premiership despite reported interest from clubs across the continent.
During his time at Orlando Pirates, Ndah won two Nedbank Cups, one League Cup, and four MTN8 (Top 8) titles, leaving with an impressive haul of silverware.
