African Olympic Committee finance director Jonathan Dyagas conferred traditional title in Kaduna
Dr Jonathan Dyagas, Finance Director of the African Olympic Committee, has been conferred with a traditional title in Kaduna State.
Dyagas was turbaned as Njet Gwong (Star of Gwong Chiefdom) by the Kpop Gwong, His Highness PZ Wyom, during a ceremony held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Fadan Kagoma, Jemaa Local Government Area.
The title recognises Dyagas’ leadership and public service contributions, adding to his profile as a senior figure in African sports administration. He currently oversees financial operations at continental level within the African Olympic Committee.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from political, labour, security, and traditional institutions, alongside officials from sports bodies, reflecting Dyagas’ engagement across both sports governance and public affairs.
