Super Eagles duo Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi will play the remainder of the 2025/26 season under a new head coach after Nottingham Forest sacked Sean Dyche following a poor run of form.

Forest confirmed Dyche’s dismissal in a statement released just hours after their disappointing goalless draw against bottom-placed Wolves, a result that leaves them only three points above the relegation zone with 12 matches remaining in the campaign.

Dyche lasted just 114 days in charge, overseeing 17 matches across all competitions and recording six wins before his departure.

According to reports, Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has already opened talks over a potential move for former Wolves manager Vítor Pereira, who was recently relieved of his duties after a difficult spell that left Wolves in the relegation zone.

Aina and Awoniyi will now be hoping the managerial change sparks a turnaround as Forest battle to secure their Premier League status in what promises to be a tense run-in to the season.
