Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest right-back Ola Aina has admitted that Forest’s Premier League 2-0 win against Brentford over the weekend left him completely drained, revealing that the experience is always the same anytime they play the London side away from home.
Forest secured a hard-fought three points thanks to goals from strikers Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi, a result that moved them five points clear of the relegation zone.
Despite the defeat, Brentford dominated possession, enjoying 67 percent of the ball compared to Forest’s 33 percent, while completing 540 passes to Forest’s 304.

Forest were kept busy defensively, registering 56 clearances and three blocks over the course of the match. Aina featured for the full 90 minutes and, alongside his teammates, delivered a resolute defensive display as Forest kept a clean sheet for the second consecutive Premier League game.
Reflecting on the encounter via his Snapchat account, the Super Eagles defender described the match as one of the most physically demanding of his professional career.
“Na only God sustain me for this match. I’ve never felt so exhausted in my life! It’s always like this against Brentford as well. Big three points sha,” Aina wrote.

The 29-year-old, who recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff, has settled back into Forest’s starting line-up and will be hoping to play a key role in helping the club avoid relegation by the end of the season.
