Precious Achiuwa scored 17 points for the Sacramento Kings, but his effort was not enough as the Kings fell 117–103 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who played without star guard Anthony Edwards.
Achiuwa finished as the Kings’ joint leading scorer alongside DeMar DeRozan and Dennis Schröder, who also recorded 17 points apiece. The Nigerian forward added six rebounds and one block in the loss.
Sacramento are enduring a difficult run in the NBA, having won just six of their 26 games this season despite boasting proven stars such as DeRozan, Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine and Malik Monk.

In addition to Achiuwa, DeRozan and Schröder, Monk contributed 16 points, while LaVine and Keegan Murray scored 10 points each. Westbrook chipped in with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Despite missing their franchise player, Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves cruised to their 17th win of the season, led by Julius Randle’s dominant performance of 24 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Jaden McDaniels added 21 points, Naz Reid posted 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Donte DiVincenzo and Bones Hyland scored 18 points apiece.
The Kings will next travel to the Moda Center to face the Portland Trail Blazers as they look to snap a three-game losing streak.
