Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has become the second player to arrive at the Super Eagles’ camp ahead of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, Bold Sports reports.
Nwabali joins Francis Uzoho who was the early bird, reporting to camp at around 2:00am on Sunday. All coaches and back room staff also arrived on the same day.
The team’s training camp is based at the Renaissance Hotels in Cairo, Egypt, where they will play a friendly against the Pharaohs on December 16 as their final tune-up before the tournament.
It is not yet confirmed if Nwabali will be fit to start for the Super Eagles during the AFCON. According to Chippa United’s head coach, the 29-year-old has been struggling with a hand and ankle injury which has kept him out of action for weeks.

In contrast, Uzoho was in action on Thursday, providing a sensational performance for Omonia Nicosia as he kept a cleansheet and made six saves, helping the Cyprus side secure a 1-0 victory over Rapid Wien.
Other players expected to arrive early on Sunday include Chidozie Awaziem and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, both of whom featured for their respective clubs on Friday.
