In-form D’Tigers forward Jordan Nwora powered Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) to their ninth win of the 2025/26 EuroLeague campaign, dropping a team-high 23 points in a 91–80 victory over Olympiacos.
Nwora, who recently returned from a 10-game injury layoff, has continued to deliver standout performances for the Serbian side and remains one of their top players across all competitions this season.
Red Star controlled the first and fourth quarters, outscoring Olympiacos 21–15 and 32–15, while the Greek side edged the second and third quarters 23–16 and 27–22. However, their response wasn’t enough in front of the packed 19,000-capacity Belgrade Arena.

In addition to his 23 points, Nwora contributed three rebounds. Fellow Nigerian Semi Ojeleye also impressed, scoring 15 points. Chima Moneke posted 11 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, while Codi Miller-McIntyre added 10 points.
On the other side, Sasha Vezenkov’s game-high 29 points could not lift Olympiacos. Tyler Dorsey scored 16 points, and former NBA veteran Evan Fournier added 13 in the defeat.
Speaking after the win, Nwora attributed his strong form to the trust shown in him by the coaching staff and his teammates, which he says has allowed him to play freely and enjoy his basketball.

“The coaches believe in me, my teammates believe in me, and give me the freedom to be me. When that happens, I can be the best version of myself.”
The D’Tigers forward also expressed his delight at returning to action after being sidelined for four weeks.
“It was great. I was not happy to be out of the court for four weeks. It is great to be back and get back into rhythm.”
The win lifts Red Star to second on the EuroLeague table with a 9–4 record from 14 games, level on points with leaders Hapoel Tel Aviv but behind on points difference.
Red Star will now aim for a top-eight finish to secure a playoff berth, something they narrowly missed last season when they finished 10th.
