Super Falcons and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award, following a stellar year for both club and country between August 2024 and August 2025, Bold Sports reports.
The 24-year-old’s nomination comes after an outstanding run of performances that cemented her reputation as one of the world’s top shot-stoppers.
During the review period, Nnadozie was a key figure for her former side Paris FC, producing a string of world-class displays that culminated in the club’s Coupe de France triumph over Paris Saint-Germain. She kept a clean sheet in the final and denied two penalties during the shootout to guide her side to victory.

On the international stage, Nnadozie was equally imperious as the Super Falcons claimed a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco. She kept four clean sheets in six games, including crucial saves in the knockout rounds that propelled Nigeria to glory.
Her consistency has not gone unnoticed, with the Nigerian shot-stopper also featuring on several other award shortlists. She was among the nominees for the inaugural female Yachine Trophy, eventually won by Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton, and she is once again in contention for Africa’s Best Women’s Goalkeeper Award, which she hopes to win for the third consecutive year.
Since joining Brighton & Hove Albion, Nnadozie has carried her fine form into the Women’s Super League (WSL), earning the Player of the Match award on her debut. She also received nominations for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month (September) and the Barclays WSL Save of the Month.

For the FIFA award, Nnadozie will compete against some of the world’s elite goalkeepers, including Hannah Hampton, Ann-Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Christiane Endler, Anna Moorhouse, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
The winner of The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award will be determined by an international panel comprising women’s national team coaches, captains, specialist journalists, and fans all over the world voting on FIFA.com.
