Professional basketball player Sandra Ikeora says she is more than ready to bring a unique presence to the D’Tigress of Nigeria if given the opportunity.
With experience in Portugal, France, and the Dominican Republic, Ikeora has steadily built a strong case for national team consideration. But beyond the numbers, she says it’s her leadership and mentality that would set her apart.
“Not only am I a great scorer. Not only am I a great rebounder. Not only am I a great communicator. Not only am I a great leader, I make everyone around me better,” she said in an interview with Basketball Journalist Kenny Bamidele.
Ikeora’s track record over the years speaks for itself.

Dominant College Career
Ikeora made her mark in NCAA Division II with multiple standout seasons at Dominican University of California.
2017–18: Named Preseason PacWest Player of the Year. Despite an ankle injury that limited her to 20 games (19 starts), she averaged 20.2 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game. She earned All-PacWest Second Team honors and was PacWest Player of the Week in November.

She led NCAA Division II in rebounding, was named PacWest Defender of the Year, and earned multiple weekly conference honors. She set a program DII-era record with 25 rebounds in a single game and scored a career-high 43 points against Academy of Art.
2015–16: Averaged 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds in 28 games, earning All-PacWest Second Team recognition. She also averaged 2.1 blocks and 1.3 steals, shot 52.5% from the field, and earned PacWest Academic All-Conference honors.
