Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, amid reports from SportsBoom linking him with moves to Fulham and Newcastle.
Arokodare has been in sensational form this season, netting 22 goals and delivering 7 assists across 41 appearances. He has also added three goals during the playoffs, playing a crucial role in Genk’s bid to win their first Belgium Pro League title since 2019.
His outstanding performances have fueled speculation about his future, with reports suggesting that multiple European clubs are keen on signing him. Nevertheless, the Nigerian striker has stayed composed amid the rumuors, maintaining his focus on the current season but sharing his aspiration to play in the Premier League.

“As far as the rumours in the media are concerned, I just try to stay focused and keep my head cool. The future is not set yet, but like many other players, I dream of playing in the Premier League one day,” said the striker.
Genk have set a €20 million price tag on Tolu Arokodare and are aiming to sell the Nigerian striker for that amount, making him the club’s joint-third most expensive departure, alongside Mike Penders, who moved to Chelsea and behind Bilal El Khannouss and Sander Berge, who joined Leicester City and Sheffield United respectively.
Genk head coach De Condé has already confirmed that arrangements have been made for Arokodare to leave the club if the right offers come in. He also mentioned that the striker will be turning 25, an age at which it is often the right time for players to make a bigger move.

Despite the transfer speculation, Arokodare and Genk’s main priority will be to finish the season by securing the Belgian Pro League title after finishing as leaders during the regular season.
Due to recent disappointing results, the team dropped to third place with 41 points but will have the chance to revive their campaign when they face the current leaders, Union St. Gilloise, in a must-win match on Saturday, May 3.
