The Atlanta Hawks ended their three-game losing streak with a hard-fought 98-86 victory over the Miami Heat. Onyeka Okongwu played a key role, leading the team to the win with 17 points.

This victory marked the fewest points the Hawks have allowed in over four years, since their 100-82 win over the Boston Celtics in March 2021. With the win, the Hawks moved up to eighth place in the standings, leapfrogging the Heat.

Okongwu not only led the Hawks in scoring but also contributed eight rebounds and three assists. Chris LeVert and Terrance Mann each added 15 points, while All-Star guard Trae Young recorded 11 points, 14 assists, and three rebounds.

For the Heat, Andrew Wiggins scored a game-high 23 points, while Bam Adebayo and Kyle Anderson chipped in with 14 points each. Tyler Herro finished with 11 points in the loss.

In his fifth season with the franchise, Okongwu has solidified his place as the Hawks’ starting center, surpassing Clint Capela due to his strong offensive and defensive performances. Capela finished with 11 rebounds, eight points, and one assist in the game.
