NBBF Women’s Basketball league side, The Royal Aces are making progress in negotiations to sign Oyimdamola Abdulazeez, a standout player from Nigeria Customs.
Oyimdamola Abdulazeez was part of Royal Aces’ roster for the Louis Edem Foundation West African Basketball Invitational Championship in February, and discussions have since intensified towards a potential long-term contract.
Both the Royal Aces and Oyimdamola Abdulazeez are enthusiastic about the potential move, with the team prioritizing her as a crucial addition ahead of the upcoming 2025 Zenith Women Nigeria Basketball Premier League season.
A final decision on the deal is pending approval from the team’s top management, but there is growing momentum toward a potential agreement that could bring Oyimdamola Abdulazeez to the Royal Aces.
The Royal Aces’ move to sign the gifted basketballer aligns with their strategic plan to enhance their standing after securing a fourth-place finish in the Women’s Basketball league last season.
Asides Oyindamola, the club have also secured the return of Udueyin Ruth and Onajomo Ogheneochuko, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening their roster while retaining their existing core players.
