Tobi Amusan finishes third in New York Grand Prix 100mH

Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan had to settle for third place in the women’s 100m hurdles at the New York Grand Prix on Saturday, clocking 12.66s.

The 2022 world champion and world record holder could not match the blistering pace set by reigning World Indoors Champion Devynne Charlton of the Bahamas, who took the victory in 12.56s. American Alaysha Johnson was runner-up in 12.58s.

Reigning World Champion, Jamaican Danielle Williams, finished just behind Amusan in fourth with 12.71s, followed by Americans Masai Russell (12.73s) and former World Record Holder Kendra Harrison (12.77s). Yanique Thompson of Jamaica rounded out the final in seventh place in 12.94s.
