Victor Boniface netted a brace in Bayer Leverkusen’s victory, Wilfred Ndidi contributed two assists, and although Victor Osimhen couldn’t find the back of the net, he provided a crucial assist.

Ademola Lookman (Atalanta)
Ballon d’Or nominee Ademola Lookman oozed class and grace in his first game for Atalanta this season scoring a goal and providing an assist in La Dea’s 3-2 win over Fiorentina in a pulsating Italian Serie A game.
Lookman provided the assists for Mateo Rutegi’s opening goal before grabbing what proved to be the winner in the 46th minute of the first half. He was named the Man of the Match in the encounter.
Josh Maja (West Brom)
One-cap Super Eagles striker Josh Maja scored his fifth goal of the season in his fifth game of the campaign to propel West Brom to a 3-0 away win over Portsmouth in an EFL Championship encounter on Sunday at Fratton Park. Maja wasted no time scoring the opener for the Baggies in the very first minute of the encounter.
The goal takes Maja’s goal tally of the season to five in five games and his goals have been instrumental in helping West Brom stay on top of the EFL Championship. As they look to gain promotion back to the top flight, Maja will be needed to produce the goals week-in, and week-out.
Frank Onyeka (Augsburg)
Frank Onyeka made his debut for German Bundesliga side Augsburg and made an instant impact providing a beautiful assist for Phillip Tietz to score the team’s second goal in their 3-1 win over newcomers St Pauli.
Onyeka was in action for 83 minutes before being substituted off for Arne Maier.
Moses Simon (Nantes)
Moses Simon had an impressive performance for Nantes in the French Ligue 1 providing for Douglas in the 28th minute to give his side the lead but despite his efforts, his side fell to a 2-1 home loss to Reims. Simon played the entire duration of the game.
