‎Mubarak Suleiman signs new Slavia Prague contract until 2031‎

‎Mubarak Suleiman has signed a new contract with Slavia Prague, keeping the Nigerian midfielder at the Czech club until June 30, 2031, Bold Sports reports.

‎The 19-year-old has made a strong start to the new Czech First League season. He has started four of Slavia’s opening five league games, scoring once and providing one assist. He also assisted against Liberec before scoring against Bohemians in the same run. Suleiman suffered an injury during the Bohemians match.

‎His recent progress has earned him a longer commitment from the Czech giants.

‎“The contract extension means a lot to me. This is what I’ve been aiming for and hoping for since the beginning of my journey at Slavia,” Suleiman said.

‎The midfielder broke into Slavia’s first-team plans after an impressive UEFA Youth League campaign last season. He scored five goals in six appearances for the club’s Under-19 side.

‎He later made his senior-team debut on February 7. He marked the occasion with a goal against Mladá Boleslav.

‎Suleiman has already shown his value during the early stages of the current campaign. His goal and assist helped Slavia collect points in matches that both ended in draws.

‎“I’ll be available again soon,” said the midfielder, who is recovering from his latest injury.

‎Suleiman is hopeful of returning soon. He also mentioned the possibility of featuring against Plzeň.

‎“I’m feeling better now, much better. I think I’ll be available for the upcoming matches soon. Maybe for Plzeň.”

‎The youngster also praised Slavia’s start to the league campaign. He highlighted the performances of the team’s senior players and leaders.

‎“I have two role models in the cabin. Lukáš Provod and Michal Sadílek. They play in positions that are similar to mine. I hope that one day I will be as beneficial to the team as they are. Otherwise, my closest partner is Samuel Isife.”

‎Suleiman now wants to build on his rapid rise in Prague. His ambitions extend beyond regular first-team football.

‎“I want to win more trophies with Slavia. And I hope we can reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.”

‎With his contract now running until 2031, Slavia have secured the services of one of their emerging Nigerian talents for the long term.
