Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has intensified speculation over his future by removing all references to Atalanta from his Instagram page, following the club’s decision to reject a €45 million offer from Inter Milan, Bold Sports reports.

In recent days, Inter formally submitted a €45 million bid for Lookman, but Atalanta once again turned it down, holding firm on their €50 million valuation. The Italian side are also showing no signs of softening their stance despite the deadline set to conclude the deal.

Lookman, who has already agreed personal terms with Inter and is eager to join Christian Chivu’s squad, appears to be growing frustrated with the slow progress of the deal.

The 27-year-old’s Instagram bio has been edited to read simply “Football player for Nigeria,” with no mention of Atalanta. In addition, he has removed his profile picture and deleted nearly all images of himself in Atalanta colours — a move often interpreted as a signal of dissatisfaction or an imminent departure.

Despite the player’s clear desire to leave, Atalanta remain adamant that a deal will only be done on their terms. Club CEO Luca Percassi recently confirmed that while a proposal from Inter is on the table, the final decision will be made by the club.

“Lookman wants to leave since long time ago. We have a proposal from Inter but it’s us deciding timing and valuation for our own players,” he said.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, are not prepared to wait indefinitely. Club president Giuseppe Marotta has set a deadline for significant progress in the negotiations. Should a breakthrough fail to materialise anytime soon, the club is expected to move on to alternative targets.
