‎‎‎Akor Adams has insisted results matter more than individual glory after helping Sevilla FC secure a 1-0 victory over Getafe CF in La Liga.‎‎

The Nigerian forward played a decisive role at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, producing the moment that settled the contest. Showing strength and composure, Adams shielded the ball from his marker before teeing up Djibril Sow, who calmly fired into the bottom-right corner to seal all three points.

Speaking after the match, Adams underlined the importance of momentum as Sevilla continue their push in the Spanish top flight.‎ “It’s important that the team has achieved this victory, earning points in three consecutive matches,” he told the club’s official website.

‎‎Despite going four league games without scoring – against Mallorca, Girona, Alavés and Getafe – the Super Eagles striker was keen to focus on collective success rather than personal statistics.‎

“It doesn’t matter who scores, the important thing is that we accumulate points and keep a clean sheet; the work has been good from everyone. Now it’s time to think about next week,” he added.

‎‎Adams has been one of Sevilla’s standout performers this season, registering six goals and three assists in 20 league appearances. However, his most recent strike came in January, when he found the net in a 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao shortly after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.‎‎

While his personal drought continues, Sevilla will take confidence from another narrow victory – and from a striker determined to put team success above all else.
