Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has handed Galatasaray a timely boost ahead of their decisive UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoff second leg against Juventus, after returning to full training on Monday.
Osimhen had been left out of Galatasaray’s squad for their weekend Super Lig clash against Konyaspor as a precaution due to minor pain in his right knee. In his absence, the Turkish giants fell to a 2-0 defeat, only their second league loss of the season.
However, concerns over the Nigerian International’s fitness have eased after he was spotted training with his teammates, indicating he is ready for Wednesday’s crucial encounter in Turin.

Galatasaray head into the return leg in a commanding position following a stunning 5-2 victory in the first leg in Istanbul. Osimhen played a key role in that emphatic win, providing two assists as the Turkish champions seized control of the tie.
The 27-year-old has been one of the standout performers in this season’s Champions League, registering six goals and two assists in seven appearances. Across all competitions, he has recorded 15 goals and five assists, underlining his importance to Okan Buruk’s side.
Juventus, meanwhile, face an uphill battle. The Italian outfit are without a win in their last five matches and must secure at least a three-goal victory to overturn the deficit and keep their European hopes alive.
The second leg is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, with kick-off set for 9:00pm local time, as Galatasaray aim to book their place in the round of 16.
