Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi continued his fine form in front of goal, scoring for the third consecutive game to hand Viktoria Plzen a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bohemians 1905 in their league clash at the Stadion Ďolíček on Saturday.

Plzen, who were looking to extend their unbeaten run to three matches, got off to a flying start when Durosinmi struck in the ninth minute, calmly finishing to give the visitors an early lead. The 22-year-old striker’s goal, his tenth of the season in all competitions, proved decisive, as the visitors held firm to secure all three points.

Despite dominating possession and creating further chances, Plzen were unable to double their advantage, but Durosinmi’s early strike was enough to seal victory and maintain their upward momentum.

The result lifts Viktoria Plzen to fourth place on the league table with 19 points, seven adrift of leaders Sparta Prague, who have a game in hand. Bohemians, on the other hand, remain ninth, with the defeat ending their impressive eight-game unbeaten run across all competitions.

Bohemians will aim to bounce back when they travel to face Mlada Boleslav on Wednesday, while Viktoria Plzen will shift focus to the UEFA Europa League, where they face a tough away test against AS Roma on Thursday.

Durosinmi’s latest goal which is his fifth in the league moves him up to fourth on the top scorers’ chart, trailing only Jan Chramosta (7), Matej Vydra (6) and Albion Rrahmani (6).
