Nigerian table tennis champion Quadri Aruna keeps climbing the world rankings, reaching 16th place with 1280 points in the latest update.
Unfortunately, a recent injury forced Aruna to withdraw from the highly anticipated WTT Series Lagos 2024. Despite his absence, the tournament promises high-level competition with the arrival of top players from India, China, and Korea.
Local talents Muizz Adegoke and Abdulbasit Abdulfatai will step into the spotlight, competing in the main draw for the first time after participating in the qualifying rounds last year.
This marks the second WTT Contender event held in Nigeria, bringing together international table tennis stars for a week of intense matches at the Sir Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall.
