Ankle injury rules Ademola Lookman out of Sassuolo clash

Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, has been sidelined from Atalanta’s Serie A clash against Sassuolo on Saturday due to an ankle injury, with the possibility of missing more games, per Gianluca Di Marzio.

Currently undergoing treatment for a sprained left ankle, Lookman’s condition will be reassessed in the coming days, with reports indicating that he sustained the injury during the final against Cote d’Ivoire.

Atalanta had been banking on Lookman’s return to bolster their squad amid a congested fixture list, particularly after the departure of Luis Muriel to Major League Soccer side Orlando City.
